On 20th May 2016, Sanima Hydro and Engineering signed a contract agreement to carry out detailed engineering design and preparation of bid documents of Lower Likhu Hydropower Project (28.1 MW). The project is owned by Swet Ganga Hydropower and Construction Pvt. Ltd. (Sister Organization).
The project is a Run of River (RoR) type located in Sirise, Saipu and Bijulikot VDCs of Ramechhap and Okhaldhunga Districts, Janakpur Zone, Central Development Region of Nepal. The project utilizes 118m gross head and the design discharge of 29.75m3/s resulting into an installed capacity of 28.1MW. The construction period of this project is estimated to be 4years.
