Sanima Hydro and Engineering has signed a Contract Agreement with Himali Hydro Fund Ltd. for Due Diligence Audit of Sona Khola Hydropower Project (9 MW) on July 31, 2023 . Sona Khola Hydropower Project is a Run of River (RoR) project having installed capacity of 9 MW being developed by Himali Hydro Fund Ltd. located in Mikwakhola Gaupalika, Ward No. 5, Taplejung District, Province no. 1, Nepal. The major components of the project are diversion weir, intake structure and gravel trap, settling basin, headpond, headrace pipe, surge pipe, steel penstock pipe, powerhouse and tailrace. The project utilizes gross head of 570 m and design discharge at Q45% of 1.92 m3/s.
