Mr. Tuk Prasad Paudel

Mr. Paudel is a Hydropower Engineer, with a Masters Degree in Hydraulics and Hydropower. He has 22 years of experience in Hydropower Projects’ study, planning,   project management and its development. He was a Chief Executive officer of Sanima Mai Hydropower Ltd. During his tenure he was involved in overall development of 22MW Mai Hydropower Project and 7 MW Mai Cascade Hydropower Project in Nepal. At present the projects are under construction. Currently, he is an Executive Chairman of Sanima Hydro and Engineering (P) Ltd.He is responsible for the overall management of the company.


Mr. Ajoy Karki

Mr. Karki is a water resources engineer with 23 years experience in the management, design and study of hydropower, rural electrification and renewable energy projects in Nepal as well as at international level. He holds a Masters Degree in Hydraulic Engineering (Specialization in River Engineering and River Basin Development) from IHE-UNESCO, The Netherlands (2000). His international experience covers over 14 countries in Asia and Africa for multinational agencies such as the Asian Development Bank, World Bank, GIZ, German Bank for Reconstruction (KfW), USAID, UNEP and Winrock International. He is the Director of Sanima Hydro and Engineering (P.) Ltd.


Mr. Kieron Paul Hanson

Mr. Kieron Paul Hanson is the founder and Managing Director of Hydroplan, a leading hydropower consulting company in UK. He has over 30 years of experience in design, installation and commissioning of hydropower plants throughout the U.K, Spain, Portugal, Kenya, Malaysia and Pakistan. Hydroplan has 3 offices in the UK and undertakes consents, design and construction management of small to medium hydro projects.  Kieron is one of the board members of Sanima Hydro and Engineering P. Ltd and also a board member of the British Hydropower Association.

Mr. Subas Chandra Sunuwar

Mr. Subas Chandra Sunuwar is an Engineering Geologist, with a Masters Degree in Engineering Geology. He has 21 years of experience in Nepal and India with expertise in Engineering Geology and Geo-technical Studies. During his tenure he was involved in project identification, site investigation, feasibility study, detailed design and construction supervision of hydro projects.


Mr. Padam Prasad Pokharel

Mr. Padam Prasad Pokharel is a Hydropower Engineer with 29 years of experience in Hydropower development, hydrology and hydraulics. He has completed M.Sc. in Hydropower Development from The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway on 2003 and also M. Sc in Civil Engineering (Hydropower) from The Ukrainian Institute of Water Management Engineers, Rovno, Ukraine in 1995. In 2011-2012 he worked as head of research and project coordinator in implementing various assignments including sediment study and hydraulic physical modeling of headworks of hydropower projects such as Mai Hydropower project (22 MW), 127 (MW) Upper Seti Reservoir Project, Kabeli ‘A’ Hydropower Project (38 MW), Lower Manang Marsyangdi Hydro Electric Project and Kaligandaki ‘A’ Hydropower Plant (144 MW) based in Nepal. Moreover, he coordinated several research projects, namely in hydrology, risk reduction management, water resources management, and Eco-hydraulics issues for Tsho-Rolpa GLOF Risk Reduction Project as design engineer for Department of Hydrology and meteorology, Government of Nepal. He has worked as design engineer and design team leader for various projects such as Mai cascade Hydropower project ( MW), Upper Hewa Hydropower project (14.9 MW) Middle Tamor Hydropower Project (73 MW) etc.
