Sanima Hydro is a leading Hydropower Company in Nepal with a team of highly qualified experts and engineers who are involved in different nature of hydropower project works from desk study level to construction work including operation of hydropower plants. We are currently looking for:

Geomatics Engineer – 1 No.

Position Description:

• Job Position: Geomatics Engineer
• Corporate Level: 7
• Required minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Geomatics Engineering
• Work Experience: 2-3 years of experience (preferred to Hydropower or Construction sector)
• Work station: Any place as assigned by the Supervisor/ Line Manager

Job Description and Responsibility:

• Prepare and record maps, sketches, reference documents and reports, of surveys in the standard format defined by the organization.
• Review and record the results of surveys, including the contour, elevation, shape, location, and dimensions of land & features.
• Calculate and verify the accuracy of survey data of survey sites.

• Develop and implement the system to record all important documents and other related to site control and mapping works.

• Prepare and supervise for the preparation of maps, site data and documents related to survey work.
• Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other measurements.
• Establish temporary and permanent benchmarks for preparation of maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments.

• Develop and implement all vertical levels and horizontal grid coordinate control system for the survey work.

• Prepare the descriptions of property boundary of survey are.
• Determine the longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas, using total station, theodolites, levels, satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS) and differential global positioning system (DGPS) as required.
• Prepare the cadastral map in ArcGIS of the project area, waterway alignment, transmission line alignment, project affected areas, inundation area and other as required for the project development.
• Computation of longitudinal profiles and sections of different areas for the purposes like investigation, study, construction etc.
• Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data in order to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features.
• Interact and assist with same & other sections of the organization from time to time as per requirement.

• Coordinate with all stakeholders for implementation and approval of all site control and mapping works.
• Plan site logistics as per the requirement.
• Should have high level of verbal and written communication skills.
• Should focus on time and resource management.
