Sanima Hydro and Engineering Pvt. Ltd. Has signed a contract agreement with Union Mewa Hydro Ltd. And Laxmi Sunrise Bank Ltd. For Construction Progress Monitoring and Bill Verification Works of Mewa Khola Hydropower Project (23 MW).  Mewa Khola Hydropower Project (23 MW)is a Run of River (RoR) project located in Papung Village Development Committee in Taplejung District and Province 1 of Nepal. Geographically, the project area is located between Latitudes 27°33′ 06″ N to 27° 35′ 33″ N and Longitudes 877° 35′ 14″ E to 83°37′ 00” E. The project comprises diversion weir, intake, undersluice, gravel trap, approach canal, desilting basin, headpond, headrace pipe, headrace tunnel, surge shaft, pressure shaft, penstock, powerhouse, access tunnel and tailrace canal. The project utilizes gross head of 893 m and design discharge of 3.15 m³/s.
