They established “Sanima Hydropower Private Limited” (SHPL), which designed and successfully implemented the 2.5 MW Sunkoshi Small Hydropower Project in 2005. The implementation of the Sunkoshi Hydropower Plant identified the need for engineering expertise in the Nepalese hydropower market. This would not only benefit Sanima Hydropower (P.) Ltd. but the wider hydropower sector as well. Thus, Sanima Hydro and Engineering (P.) Ltd. (SHEPL) was established in 2005 to retain the experienced human resources and develop the design and engineering business.
Since its establishment, SHEPL has been providing technical consulting services in the hydropower sector for Independent Power Producers (both national and international clients) and has grown to over forty technical staffs including engineers of various disciplines, geologists, environmentalists and surveyors.
As an ISO 9001:2008 – certified consulting engineering firm, SHEPL provides excellence quality and management of hydropower design and development services focusing on customer satisfaction, management, internal processes, and external relationships.
