Sanima Hydro and Engineering Pvt. Ltd signed a contract agreement with Balephi Hydropower Ltd. for Due Diligence Audit on Project Cost Variation of Upper Balephi A Hydroelectric Project – 36 MW on 5^th February, 2023. The project is located Sindhupalchowk District, Bagmati Province of Nepal. It is a run-of-river hydropower project. Geographically, the project area is located between Latitudes 27°57’00” N to 27°53’45”N and Longitudes 85°47’40” E to 85°45′ 30” E. The project comprises diversion weir, intake, under sluice, gravel trap, approach culvert, settling basin, by-pass channel, inverted siphon, settling basin outlet pond, adit, surge shaft, penslock, vertical penstock shaft and powerhouse. The project utilizes gross head of 207 m, rated net head of 201.71m and design discharge at Q_40% o123.5 m³/s resulting into an installed capacity of 36 MW.
